my favourite place to buy my meats.
i worked for compass foods wanted to get box of philly steaks what is price
i lyke meet
Great meat at great prices. Best place I have found.
I'm a little bit ticked off. For 5 years I have been going to EQM for my lunch (1-5 times a week) and, concequently, my meat/poultry products. I have seen EQM get busier and busier each year. Recently, however, they have raised their prices for the burger combo. It sucks, because I viewed it as an extra bonus for me when buying meat or getting lunch. At any rate, I must admit that their meats/produce are worth the trip, but still I feel a bit let down. Oh well, hopefully their meat prices will not go up as well.
Had a family gathering using Sausages, Hamburgers, Back Bacon and Hot Dogs
Attendees gave rave revues on the products
I worked there for a while...you do not want to know the secrets going on behind the curtain
The best, we have been long time customers and are so glad they are in our area. Mike is always busy but always is friendly. I am reaqlly enjoying the new shorter counters makes the ezperience even better. The best meat in town.
Overall I really am impressed. However my last purchase of 5oz burgers was really disappointing. I opened the box & they looked as though they had been freezer burned. The colour was off. I cooked them up and they were half fat. I think they have also increaed the amount of filler to. The burgers at least, are not what they used to be.
, I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND A GREAT STORE,OTHER THAN THE MEATS FROM THE LARGE CHAIN STORES. I WAS TOTALY WRONG,I PURCHASED NEW YORK SRIP LOIN STEAKS, SEVERAL TIMES,BUT I WAS TOTALY WRONG! I COULD NOT CHEW THIS PRODUCT,IT WAS LIKE EATING SHOE LEATHER,AND OR ELASTIC. I GIVE A POOR RATING FOR THIS STORE. I DID SEE A RATING ON ANY MEATS,SUCH AS AA-AAA ETC. NO NOTICE OF GOVERNMENT INSPECTION. C.R.H.
The best service and meats around .First class dont miss out try them today.
THE BEST MEAT STORE IN TOWN-------EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
GREAT PEOPLE ANNA, MIKE AND THE CREW
ALWAY HELPING THE COMMUNITY
Love they're hot dogs!!!
I've been buying from them for years and have never had a problem. Maybe you just don't know how to cook them properly
I agree this guy has no idea how to cook a steak. He should just eat at McDonalds
Love the Bacon.
I saw just yesterday that European Meats was no longer in Kensington Market. My heart almost hit the ground. I was sooo happy to see they were still in business and had simply moved to a new location. I first heard of the store from my grade nine teacher in a small town two hours away from Toronto. I've been shopping there since I moved to Toronto 20 years ago. This is the best quality butcher shop with the best prices that I have ever seen. I hope they continue forever. The store deserves it and so do their happy customers :) .
It was a sad day to see European Meats close. For many years I would first go to this shop and then visit the rest of Kensington Market for the rest of my groceries. The market has always been my place to shop since I live in the area and do not drive.
I have just recently discovered that Zimmerman's Freshmart located just around the corner on Augusta now carries a full line of European Quality Meats & Sausage products.
Their prices seem to be the same as before, the only difference is Freshmart's meat counter is self serve, you no longer have to take a number.
I have been a regular customer at European Quality Meats for many years now. The quality and quantity can't be beat for the price. The flavor is amazing! Whenever I host a BBQ I pick up all my meats from European and my friends and family are always impressed. Texas Burgers, Sausages, Ribs, Steak, Souvlaki and so much more. Once you try it, you will be hooked:)
I have been buying European Meats on Jutland for the past 10 years and have never had a problem with any of their products. They are extremely popular which means you have to wait sometimes but it's definitely worth the wait. I recommend them to all of my friends.
The bacon is excellent!
As a caterer who has used meats for my menus from this store for more years than I can count, let me comment that the meats are fine. What happens to them when they are not prepared correctly is another thing..................Also buying fresh meat from a butcher is different from buying from a supermarket where packaging laws require the grade of meat to be displayed among other things. This store uses the finest quality meat and while each steak is not marked the butchers behind the scenes can produce informatioin on the grade upon request.
I've been shopping at European Meats for over 20 years (first at their downtown location, now at their Jutland store). The meat is excellent and the prices cannot be beat. Their staff is friendly, helpful and honest. I highly recommend their back ribs along with their freshly sliced deli meats.
July 31 I went to Kesington Market to buy some meat & sausage at European I notce all item are different & not crowded so I ask sale clerck she told me they sell store move to Etobickoe. I been going to the store since 1973 up to present. I feel so bad so convince closed to China town. Now from Scarborough to Etobicoke all the way down I don't mine meat is good w/quality. I love their sausage. I'll see soon.
I have been a loyal customer for many years, since they opened on Jutland. There is nothing like a fresh turkey from European. I can't wait to cook mine tomorrow!
I moved to Toronto in 1996 my sisters building has been buying their burgers from European meats and hotdogs since I arrived here I would not miss the summer without European meets burgers hotdogs etc. thanks for all the good service from the staff at European meets job well done
Ive been a costumer for over 20 years, I like the place and the quality of the meet,, but not to long a go I notice that the prices are getting to high and not only that, the last 3 times that I was there doing my shopping I realize that they scaned twice one of my items, I saw it when I got home and I check my recit, first time I said may be a mistake, second and third time, dont know what to think anymore.I just imagine if they do it with every costumer? they better reduce the prices and pay more attention when they charge to costumers.
As part of the family that owns European Quality Meats & Sausages I appreciate your comments. We endeavor to try and keep our prices low and fair. Unfortunately the meat industry has weathered the perfect storm this year. While you may not see a dramatic increase in some retailer’s shelves, rest assured that the package weight is not the same. Retailers are holding their prices but in the end its not an apples to apples comparison. Retailers have been decreasing the weight in their packages and in some cases changing the unit of measure that they are charging.
Beef prices have skyrocketed due to a number of factors such as drought, declining herds, and the ice and weather storm we had during December throughout North America where cattle did not make it to slaughter or died in the field. Beef prices have increased to all time record highs.
Higher oil prices have caused transportation and packaging prices to skyrocket. Some feed has been diverted to Ethanol such as corn causing feed prices to jump.
The pork industry has had it challenges as well with over 8 million hogs culled due to a pandemic outbreak in the US. Between a shortage of supply and Processors not able to absorb the dramatic price increases due to contracts. The industry has seen plant closures across North America because of the lack of Supply and skyrocketing prices.
Just in Toronto, Quality Meat Packers ceased operations and on June 6 (4 days ago) Great Lakes has ceased operation.
As for you being double charged, after 53 years in business please see a manager to have it straightened out. That is why we issue receipts.
